GHUIKHED
Ghuikhed with 569 houses and a population of 2,537 according to the 1961 Census is a large village in Candur tahsil lying about 19 km. (12 miles) south of Candur Railway, the tahsil headquarters. The village has a Primary School, a Middle School, a Balak Mandir and a Post-Office. There is a shrine dedicated to Bendoji Baba in whose honour a fair attended by nearly 4,000 persons is held annually in the month of Magha. A dispensary is maintained by the temple authorities.
