MOTHA
Motha: a village in Melghat tahsil situated at the point where Dhamanganv-Motha road to Cikhaldara reaches the top of the hills. 'Mackenzie's Ride' from Cikhaldara ends here. The 1961 Census gives the number of houses as 90 with 481 inhabitants. There are several families of Gavlis and a few of Korkus. The former own large herds of cattle. Gavlis are primarily occupied in rearing cattle.
