FLOODS
The details of floods prior to 1942 are not available. In the year 1942 the district was affected by a flood of a very severe
magnitude. No information regarding the extent of damages
caused and relief measures undertaken is however available. It may, however, be noted that the occurrence of floods is infrequent in the district.
