INTRODUCTION
THE PRESENT CHAPTER DEALS WITH THE DEMAND SIDE OF the productive activity of the district as a counterpart of the preceding chapters which deal with the supply side of the productive activity, e.g., Agriculture, Industry, Trade and Commerce, etc., in the district. It depicts the present standard of living, i.e,, income-expenditure pattern of the people of the district and the economic prospects of the district in the different economic spheres. The chapter is divided into two sections, viz., (i) Standard of Living and (ii) Economic Prospects. |
