MUNDHARI BK.

Mundbari Bk., is a village in the Bhandara tahsil situated on the Wainganga river, 12 miles north-east of Bhandara and 14 miles from Tirora. The nearest railway station, however, is Koka which is only three miles away, while Tumsar Road is six miles off. In 1971 there were 3.045 inhabitants. A large cattle market is held here on Tuesdays. Formerly teak, saj and bamboo were also brought for sale at this market; but now these are mostly sold in the neighbouring village of Koka. Bamboo baskets, matting and earthen pots are made in the village. Mundhari has educational facilities up to the high school stage, an Ayurvedic dispensary and a branch post office. The villagers depend upon wells and the river Wainganga for water-supply.
