PATIL
Patils.-The patil is the principal village official. From 1st Janu-ary, 1963, the posts of revenue patils have been abolished. In some villages, only one person was doing the duties of revenue as well as Police patil. The Police patils duties are laid down in Bombay Village Police Act (VIII of 1867).
