MADHA
Madha (Chikhli T., p. 1,250): It is a village in Chikhli tahsil situated 14 miles to the west of Buldhana, the district headquarters. The river Penganga takes its rise from a small spring of water at the foot of a low hill near the village. ' There was a small tank in the village some portions of which held water. As the water was stagnant the tank silted with the passage of time. An old Hemadpanii temple of Mahadeva was previously standing though it was all in ruins.'
