MATURI

Maturi, with a population of 1,331 in 1961, is a village in Gevrai tahsil, containing two samadhis, one of which is said to be that of Matang Rsi. This village has been referred to in the Puranas as the abode of Matang Rsi. On the knoll of a hill nearby there is a shrine dedicated to Bholesvar Mahadev.
