RAJAPUR
Rajapur, with 861 persons in 1961, is a village in Gevrai tahsil,
situated on the banks of the river Godavari. It was the residence
of the Brahmin Sardar of the Nizam of Hyderabad referred to
under Talvada village. Its sole claim to importance lies in the
gorgeous and splendid ghat built right from the village up
to the bed of the Godavari river. It was built by one of the
dependents of the above noted sardar. In the vicinity of
the ghat there are two temples dedicated to Mahadev and
Maruti, respectively.
