RAJURI BK.
Rajuri Bk., a village lying 9.66 km. (6 miles) off Bid, is
noteworthy for its temple of Ganapati. The temple has a spacious
mandap of earthen floor and a vestibule which contains a
squarish block of stone bearing four engraved images of Ganapati.
Besides, the vestibule contains five more Ganapati images which
have earned the name Nav Gana Rajuri to this village. The ones on
the block of stone are supposed to be svayambhu and said to
have appeared when Brahmadeva performed a yajnya. On
Bhadrapad Suddha Caturthi the utsav attended by over
7,000
persons is celebrated.
