JOINT STOCK COMPANIES.
The Joint Stock Companies have come up recently in this district. By 1965 there were only three companies working in the district out of which two were public limited companies and the remaining, a private one. All of them were established after the World War II, the oldest among them being the Ballarshah Timbers Syndicate, established at Ballarpur on 3rd August, 1945. The other two were (1) the Nav Hind Prakashan with registered office at Chandrapur and (2) the Namdeo Transport Company with registered office at Gadhchiroli.
