TRADE IN MUNICIPAL AREAS
Detailed statistical information about the total volume of trade
various municipal towns of the district cannot be presented in
the absence of full official or non-official data. Information
obtainable from returns of octroi duty levied by various municipalities gives only partial trends thereof. The method of levying octroi duty is not uniform with the result that in some cases, either the quantity of exports or that of imports may not be available, while in others, either the value of exports or that of imports may not be available.
The following table contains data regarding the volume of trade at municipal towns in the district: —
