FODDER
Fodder occupies an important place in non-food crops grown in the district. In 1958-59, it accounted for over ninety per cent of the total area under non-food crops in it. Khalapur, Alibag
and Pen sub-divisions make up nearly two thirds of the total area under the crop
in the district. The following table gives the distribution of area under fodder
in the district, in 1958-59:—
