HAL KHURD
Hal khurd (T. Karjat), eight miles south of Karjat, has, in an overhanging scarp not far from the village, a deserted plain monastery cave with a central hall and six rooms. Some years ago, the front wall of the hall was thrown down. It was said to have borne an inscription.[ Mr. W. F. Sinclair in Ind. Ant. V. 310.]
