NATE
Nate (Mahad T.; 18° 05' N, 73° 20' E; RS. Mumbra 103 m;
p. 1514) has a large population and is a fairly big market place. It is the birth place of Dr. C. D. Deshmukh and the saint-poet Anant Maharaj in whose memory a samadhi has been erected. It is said that on all the occasions when attacks were launched upon Rayagad, Nate was made the camping ground.
