SHIVTARGHAL
Sivtharghal (T. Mahad) is situated to the east about 15 miles from Mahad. It is said that the famous saint of Maharastra, Sri Ramdas Svami used to stay here and at a neighbouring village and a messenger from Chatrapati Sivaji used to come here for advice. It is here that Ramdas Svami wrote his Dasbodh. The present disciple of Ramdas Svami has erected a samadhi and a full-sized idol of his guru. A small tract about three miles down from the village to Sivtarghal has been recently constructed.
