ARONDE
Aronde (Savantvadi T.; p. 4,490), situated 15 miles to the south
west of Savantvadi, has four primary schools and one high school. There is a church, a mosque and some temples. Besides, there are three dispensaries and a telegraph office. There are also a coir industry and a tanning centre in Aronde. The nearest railway station is Belgaum, 77 miles to the east.
