AITAVADE BK.
Aitavade Bk. (POP. 4,651), A VILLAGE IS VALVA taluka lying 14.48 km (nine miles) south-west of Islampur is the birthplace of the late Sri Bbaurav Patil the well-known educationist and social worker. It has five primary schools, a high school a post office and a dispensary. Bananas and herel-leaves arc grown here in abundance and hence the village is nicknamed as Kelyance Aitavade. Weekly bazar is held on Tuesdays. A few of the inhabitants are engaged in the manufacture of bricks, there being a co-operative society of the brick manufacturers. There are temples dedicated to Maruti. Ramesvar and Ganapati and a Jain Basti.
