HARIPUR
Haripur, with 1,976 inhabitants in 1961, is a village in Miraj taluka situated at the confluence of the Varna and the Krsna. It is considered to be a sacred place and has a temple dedicated to Sangamesvar. Devotees in large numbers visit the temple on every Monday of Sravana. There is a primary school, a post office and a dispensary.
