PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Physical education is controlled by the department at the State level, under the National Discipline Scheme. The instructors are provided in some high schools in the district. There is one institution conducting a course in physical education and it had 41 students including four girls in 1963-64. The enrolment was 62 including ten girls in 1969 and the number of teachers was five in the same year.
