FLOWER SELLERS
Various types of flowers such as rose, jasmine, chameli, shevanti, aboli and zendu are available in the gardens in the district. Some kinds of flowers are imported from the neighbouring areas.
An establishment of a flower merchant requires a very small space and is generally situated in the main centres of the towns.
Needles, threads, silver threads, etc. are required as accessories for stringing purpose. The equipment of an establishment consists of a few baskets for keeping the flowers and the garlands and a bucket for water to be sprinkled to keep the flowers fresh.
The establishment does very brisk business at the time of marriage season, Ganeshotsav, Divali and other festivals.
