The decorative instinct in every individual gave rise to the business of photo-framing. These shops are found in big towns only. The equipment required for this occupation consists of a small hammer, nails, a pair of scissors, etc. while accessories include plywood, glass sheets,
pictures, cardboards, etc. All these articles are purchased from the local market. Most of the establishments are managed by the owners themselves but in a few cases with the help of employees. The initial investment of a shop varies from Rs. 200 to Rs. 500. The net earnings of a medium-sized shop vary from Rs. 150 to Rs. 250, while those of a small shop range from Rs. 75 to Rs. 125 per month. The business is more or less steady throughout the year.
