STIMULANTS AND NARCOTICS
Stimulants and narcotics in use in the district are fermented and distilled drinks as now allowed by the Government. Bhang, yakut and ganja are used by only those addicted to them. Of the non-prohibited articles, tobacco, betel, tea, coffee and other soft drinks like coca cola are current chiefly among urban areas. Tobacco is consumed in three ways. It is chewed, it is smoked and taken in the form of snuff. Among the working class women also, it has patrons in all these forms.
Tea-drinking is very common among the middle classes and even among workers and cultivators.
