GARPIT

Garpit, with in 1961 a population of 312, is a forest village in Arvi tahsil lying about 40 miles from Wardha. This area is known for its dense jungles and game-hunting. Built on an elevation, the forest bungalow unfolds a bewitching view of the surrounding region densely clad with green forests. If developed on planned basis, Garpit would be one of the finest picnic spots for the people of Wardha district. A forest school is conducted here by the Forest department. There is also a primary school.
