SATEFAL

Satefal is a large village of 1,511 inhabitants in Darvha tahsil lying 25.75 km (about 16 miles) north-west of Darvha and six miles north of Chikhali settled on Darvha-Karanja road. West of the village is a Hemadpanti temple of Kapileshvara consisting of a sanctuary, a sabhamandap and a porch. The temple is a fine model of Yadava architecture and sculpture and contains inside the sanctuary a highly burnished and proportionate image of Muralidhar. A domed ceiling has a representation of Krishna playing on the flute in the company of the Gopis and the cattle. The shikharas or towers are in a state of excellent preservation., Satefal has a middle school, a post office, and a medical practitioner. A weekly market is held on Sundays
